Privacy Policy

What PLC Ninja does and does not do with your information.

Last updated: August 29, 2026

The short version

PLC Ninja has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. It does not collect, transmit, sell or share your personal information. It contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking software.

Everything you set up — machines, addresses, wiring descriptions, IP addresses, sections and alarms — stays on your iPhone unless you deliberately choose to send it somewhere.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following in its own folder on your iPhone:

None of this is transmitted anywhere by the app. Deleting the app removes the machine files stored on the device.

iCloud

If you choose to store machine files on iCloud, they are synced by Apple to your own iCloud account so they survive deleting and reinstalling the app. That storage is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your iCloud account or its contents.

Information you may choose to send us

The app never transmits anything on its own. There are two places where you can decide to send information, and both require you to tap send in your own email app:

Diagnostic reports

If you use Send Diagnostic Report, the report contains the machine name, PLC brand and model, the PLC's IP address, connection status, the communication log for that session, and the name you typed into the report field if you entered one. You can read the whole report before sending it. We use it only to answer your support request, and we do not use it for anything else or give it to anyone else.

PLC model verification reports

If you choose to send a model report, it tells us which PLC model connected successfully, so that model can be marked as verified for other users. You can decline, and you can turn the prompt off permanently.

Machine files you share

When you send a machine file to another PLC Ninja user, it goes directly from your phone to whoever you send it to, through whatever you choose — AirDrop, email, Files. It does not pass through us. Remember that the file contains the IP addresses, tag names and I/O structure of that machine, so send it only to people who should have it.

Your PLC connections

When the app connects to a PLC, it talks directly to that controller over your own network. No PLC data is sent to us or to any third party. The app is read-only: it cannot write a value or send a command to your PLC.

Subscriptions and payment

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see, receive or store your payment details. The app checks whether you have an active subscription by reading Apple's own cryptographically signed records already stored on your device — it does not contact us, and it works with no network connection.

Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

Children

PLC Ninja is a tool for qualified industrial maintenance personnel. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
